Gentlemen:

It was nice to get back to Myrtlewood today, and the course was in good condition and "get-able".  We had a slew of great rounds today on a relatively easy track.  Kurt T (69), Mark C (71), Me (73), RB (74), Larry C (76), Charlie V and Joe M (78) and Gerk, Joe D and Cliff K (79). Not only that, we had some door busting quota achievements:  Randy ("the Great Randino") posted +11 and Rick Mc posted +8.  Pretty strong support from D players.

First place today was grabbed by Team Stevens (Me, Joe D, Don S and Rick Mc) at +18.  As previously stated, Rick's +8 was supported by my +7 and Joe's +5. Don lent moral support.  Second was captured by Team Craddock (Larry C, Ron K, Dave S and Randino) at +15.  Randy paced the team, but they were good top to bottom as there were no minuses.  Third was a three way tie between Team Tonnessen, Team Cook and Team  Visconti.  Joe M, Mark C and Kurt T were all plus 6. Nice round for Joe, and quite the accomplishment for Mark and Kurt who both carry a quota over 30.

We had 7 skins make a cut fest today:  Bob Sant on #3, RB on #4, Joe M on #6, Rich G on #7, Kurt T on #10, Me on #14 and Cliff K on #16.  Skins paid decently at $13 each.

Next week I'm going to institute the Thursday cut off for signing up.  The deadline will be midnight.  This does not mean that you won't be able to get in, but it will depend on a couple things: First, if you can't make that decision until Friday (for whatever reason), you need to let me know before the deadline.  Call, email or text works.  Also, if we are in need of one or two guys, I will reach out and allow for a Friday sign up.  Let's see how this goes, but I think you'll agree it is fair.

Also, new players and guests to the group who do not have an established point quota can only exceed the point quota submitted for that day by +2.  So when you invite someone, make sure you have a good idea of what their skill level is.  One exception; if they have a GHIN handicap, I can calculate their points from that and there will be no restrictions.

Next week we take on the always challenging River Hills.  First Tee Time is 8:27AM, double tee at $52+.
